This is a very emotional scene that could have several interpretations.
It could be that maybe Katja is purifying Jon of his evil side.
Maybe it means she is relieving the constant pain in his life.
Maybe Katja is trying to connect and understand Jon's pain.
Maybe in the process of removing the Zabres, his missing torn arm shows that the Zabres are slowly consuming his soul, and that his left arm is no longer a part of him anymore.
Is this scene up to reader interpretation? Or was this scene supposed to convey a specific message?
