So yes!
I went to the SpringCon in the Twin Cities with my brothers from 515comics.com! We had a rad time, handed out stickers like madmen, and eve sold a decent chunk of the Raamas Emerald books that were released for the first time at the con.
It was my first time having a booth at a convention (well, to promote my own stuff, anyway. I did man a dealer booth once a long time ago), and it was excellent. Got to see a lot of awesome cosplayers and meet a lot of cool comic fans. Someday, there will be people who come to a convention to see me specifically! IT WILL HAPPEN, BY JOVE!
Above all else, I enjoyed meeting and chatting with the other independent writers/artists who came to the show. I think that will remain my favorite thing as I go to more conventions. There are a lot of talented people out there trying to do the same thing I am, and it's nice that we have events that we can all go to and meet each other and share insights and experiences. Talking with those other comic-creators was invaluable, and I thank them all for taking the time, and for doing what they do.
Also, I got to meet Linkara! [link]
Thanks for reading--
